We work from public records and don't encourage obtaining documents improperly. If you send us something you weren't supposed to have, that liability is yours, not ours.

Providing your name is optional. We take anonymity seriously and won't publish your identity. If a court orders us to disclose it, we would be bound to comply.

No investigation guarantee

Submitting a tip doesn't mean we'll investigate it, and doesn't create an attorney-client or journalist-source relationship.
